The Story

Remembering the Way Home is my second ambient piano single. This track evokes the feeling of returning to a familiar place after a long time away — that mix of nostalgia, comfort, and quiet longing. The melody builds gently through layered piano voices, suggesting a journey through memory. I hope this brings you peace during study, sleep, or moments when you need stillness.

I originally composed this piece almost exactly 10 years ago. Back then I called it “River” because of the flowing left hand pattern. When I revisited and reworked it, the feeling had shifted — it now reminded me of visiting my hometown, walking through the neighborhoods where I grew up. Everything familiar, but not quite the same anymore.

The song is strictly solo piano, but with many separately recorded parts layered together to create depth and movement.
